Nursery Curriculum & Philosophy

Warraphat Nursery aligns its curriculum with the standards set by the National Early Childhood Development Center (B.E. 2018). Our program is meticulously designed to foster the comprehensive development of children under 3 years old. We emphasize holistic growth—spanning physical, emotional, social, linguistic, and intellectual domains—through age-appropriate, nature-based play experiences.

The Critical Window: Brain Development
We recognize that the first 1,000 days of life constitute the most critical period for brain development. During this time, the brain possesses high “plasticity”—the ability to adapt and form complex neural networks. By the age of two to three, over 80% of brain development has already occurred. Therefore, we view the nursery stage not just as childcare, but as a pivotal opportunity to lay the foundation for lifelong cognitive abilities and future academic success.

The Science of Learning
Our approach is grounded in neuroscience. We understand that learning occurs when brain cells connect via synapses. This process is driven by:

  • Teachable Moments: We focus on “The Minute of Learning”—identifying the exact moments when a child is attentive and ready to explore.
  • Whole-Brain Learning: We design activities that integrate the Left Brain (language, logic) and the Right Brain (emotion, creativity), ensuring a balanced development of skills.
  • Executive Functions: By encouraging children to make choices and learn through trial-and-error, we help build working memory and problem-solving skills essential for their future.

The Role of Emotion in Learning
Emotions are the key to unlocking a child’s potential. Research shows that stress, fear, or boredom can inhibit brain function, while happiness and interest stimulate it.

  • Emotional Safety: We create a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe. When children are happy, their brains release chemicals that aid memory and learning.
  • Child-Centered Engagement: Instead of forcing interest, our teachers observe what naturally captivates each child. When children learn based on their own curiosity, they develop a “growth mindset,” viewing challenges as fun rather than frightening.

At Warraphat Nursery, we don’t just teach; we nurture the brain’s natural potential. By combining a deep understanding of neuroscience with a loving, responsive environment, we ensure that your child develops the emotional stability, intelligence (IQ), and emotional quotient (EQ) needed to thrive in the world.
